Welcome to IPAC - On-line Circulation System. With this program - you can look up items, place holds,
Searching for items (Back to top) 1. You need your Berks County Library Card 2. Click on the link to IPAC - This will bring you to a screen for searching for items. You may also click on "SEARCH" at the top of the page for a more detailed search engine. 3. You can fill in a little or as much information as you have in order to search for an item. (As a practice, type in "Title - War and Peace" then click "GO") 4. You will be given a list of matches for your information. The more information, the fewer items you get. (For our practice with "War and Peace", you will have 10 items on the first page. Select the first one.) 5. Choose the category that best suits your needs. This will bring up a list of individual items. You can choose your hold items from this list. (In our example - there are videos, books from several publishers, and books on tape or sound recordings) On the right you can add that title to your list. On the left you can select that item's title to see more information including what libraries currently have a copy of your selection and whether or not it is checked in. 6. If you would like to have a copy of this item, add it to your list. 7. To Place Holds - After you have chosen your item(s)- click on "My Account" at the top of the page and fill in your library bar code from your library card and the last 4 digits of your phone number. (If you are not permitted access, you will have to stop by the library and check to see if we have your current number on file)

Items currently checked out on your card - Click on "Items Checked out" for a detailed list of items including date checked out and due date. To renew an item, check the small box to the left of the title of each item you want to renew. Then chose "Renew" at the top or bottom of the page. If the renewal is approved, a new due date will appear on the right. If not, an error message will appear. You will need to return this item to the library. 2. The status of your Hold Requests 3. Any Fines currently on your card 4. Profile - allows you to view your current information - this can only be updated at the library. |
